army question for an american
hey guys im new to this forum and well I have a question,
Im currently finishing up my last year of high school in the US, and im going to go to college in britain and work there to help me get my citizenship. well after i get it Im thinking about joining the paratroopers or the royal marines. both are very good but who has the longer training? who would you go with and why? which will better prepare you for SAS or SBS?
thanks for reading, and god bless
mike pasek
p.s. if you have any questions or such please feel free to ask i will get back as soon as i can.

My suggestion would be to do some reading, and possibly duck from the rude words that might be headed your way from some of the more established members.
By my knowledge, which is a couple of years out of the loop and won't be refreshed for another couple of years yet, is that the RM have longer training, and a more enthusiastic following on these boards - many of whom would appreciate you to do some research under your own initiative before thinking about joining their beloved club.
As for SAS/SBS - let's not run before we can walk, eh chap?

Peds, the most important criteria is ravishing good looks as well you know.
I mean have you seen those two gronk magnets Green Ronald Pawatwooper01 ffs
So, Mikey, what`s wrong with staying Stateside and joining the misguided children?
Don`t answer that

Got that right especially if you live in the southern part of the state.mikepasek wrote: but at least its not as hot or dry as california
You wouldn't want to live in the UK,it's cold, dull and boring(thats just the people)
Gas is $10.00 a gallon.
Taxation runs at around 45%.
The Brit's still resent us because we have better toys and a President who was VOTED in to office.
Seriously you would have all kinds of problems with citizenship.
I'm lucky?as I'm a dually but I'm only staying in the UK for as long as I have to.
INCOMING!!!!!!!

Is that right.jabcrosshook wrote:British economy is better than the US economy.
At least the Dept of the Treasury saw the so called'Housing crash'Coming and stopped it in it's tracks.Unlike your gormless PM who prevented the BoE from intervening until it was to late.
Then blamed the Governor of the BoE for not acting fast enough.
Gas prices where I live are currently $1.54 a gallon.
Work it out.
