You see, "I come from a land downunder, where women throw and men chunder." Down here at the moment 8800s are still $500 plus even on e-bay.
But I can get your 9600 for only $80 as a stopgap.
Your 9600 and the 9800 have been the best of video cards, but with shader 3 and even 4 tech looming, I feel that the next upgrade needs to last me more than the 12 months since I upgraded to my Radeon X800.
Finally, with CRYTEC coming out [the best FPS ever made] I don't want any more problems.
But then guys, CRYTEC isn't a military game and shouldn't be mentioned here.
Sorry mate I dont understand all this pixel shader stuff . I have had the computer for ages now and It was bought as a gaming PC and has got something called a overclocked graphics card or something, and that makes the 256 card play games that need a 512 one. But im not sure I only play games if im bored .

Maybe the "gamers" should toddle off to MFAT. It seemed like it was heading that direction anyway, with all the teenybopers hanging out there. Hence my avoidance.
Well now Harry, that's a disappointment coming from you to a new, posting member who just wants to see his way past the pricks here to the forum's attributes.
You see, last week when I told you to keep your mouth shut about stuff you know nothing about, I found immediate respect for you and this forum because you didn't ban me for it.
This is the first forum out of many that I have belonged to where the Moderators aren't up themselves.
To even look sideways at Mods in their greatness on other forums means banishment.

You really will have to try very much harder than this.
Point of information. The cost of running this site is high. Apart from some donations and small amounts of sponsorship, Beast pays the rest. We don`t have adverts on every post like many sites do. If having a forum for gamers, spit, can achieve a decent level of income for Beast then that`s great. If you aren`t interested in games you don`t have to go there. I know I won`t.
You seem to spit quite a bit Harry. Excess saliva can mean certain latent medical problems. You should get it checked out.

Not sure why I'm being given a look at the books and why you have associated a gaming platform with advertising and finance, but all it takes for me to not post anything about gaming here is for Beast to make a ruling.
That gives you as a Moderator the ruling guideline on the subject.
As I said previously, there are one hell of a lot of members here that are into gaming and computers and it wouldn't be hard to find a whiz kid to run the section for you.
Notice I said computers. Gaming really is more than just shootin' everything up. It is modern computer technology awareness.
Something that is very relevant in today's military.
As many know, the US military have designed computer games as part of their soldier's training.

Why? We've got this forum right here with a huge membership and many of them are gamers and computer nuts.
When you look at the actual percentage of ordinary members who aren't mods and Jedis and stuff who actually post now, it is very small.
Many here are doing their best to make that one more who doesn't post by getting rid of me.
I mean Hyper, now you even want me to find a nice girl to marry instead of putting jokes about sex on the forum.
Hopefully, by introducing gaming into the forum might get more of the guys activated into something more than the dialogue that I have experienced here.
