Just finished reading this book, about a guy that ended up going to the Falklands with 3 Para at the tender age of 17. Three of his 17 year old muckers get the good news, two of them in front of him.
I thought it was a brilliant read, lots of humour plus some very sad moments, and very easy to identify with if you're an ex or serving soldier. Some of the characters mentioned were my staff in Depot, which made it even more interesting for me.

Sounds good I may keep an eye out for it.
A book I read on holiday was 'The Mammoth Book Of True War Stories' and it was a very good read, took you right into the minds of many different soldiers from lots of different era's, the stories I found interesting were The Drop which was about the Paras at Arhem in the second world war, 2 para at goose green and the letters sent home by German troops on the eastern from against the Russians and how they knew they were all going to die.
It's good.
