any chance you could help us spread the word...?
Dear all,
The Independent on Sunday is very interested in hearing your views on the treatment and care that our wounded soldiers returning from Iraq/Afghanistan receive back here in the UK. I would be very interested to speak to current or former soldiers, or their families, on or off the record about their own stories. Ideally, I'd like to be able to visit someone who is continuing to receive medical treatment, either as an inpatient or on an outpatient basis.
There has been a lot of misinformation on this subject, as with any controversial issue. Our aim is a simple one, to try and get closer to the reality of the situation through hearing from those who have experienced it. So, those of you who have been wounded or know someone who has, please do get in touch.
We are working on the story for this Sunday so if you think you can help please get in touch with me as soon as possible.
Thanks and regards,
Jonathan Owen

Jonathan,
I'm an independant reader and I'm glad that it's your paper who are attempting to write this story. However, the chances of getting anyone to speak to you directly about the issue are quite slim I feel, especially on this site for fear of misrepresentation.
Should you find somebody willing to speak about their experiences I trust you'll treat them with the respect they have earnt and deserve.
I wish you luck.

Airborne leg end, I would generally agree with your post( well, up to the bit about reading the Independant ffs
) and this site`s reluctance/repulsion of journos
However Jonathon,
send a pm to SYB and you may well receive some help.
We`ve had several Bootys on here who have been casevaced after the usual club 18-30 holiday in Basra or Gash went tits and also the odd nurse or two involved in civvie-side treatment of wounded Servicemen(one nurse was very odd, you know who you are
) None are regular posters though and I`m not going to point you in their direction. The shabby treatment is made even worse by the closing of such establishments as Haslar, of course.
