Holiday during basic training?

Post by Kwik400 »

I'm assuming this is a no-no? My son has passed his interviews at AFCO and the med questionnaire; he has to ring back about his selection when he's finished his GCSE's (about 2wks). We were booking a large family holiday for November - he's been told if selection goes ok, he'll probably be off for basic in September. So not sure if to book it now :-?

Oi fink you`ll be changing dates for your jolly or start dates for RT as you can`t do both.
WTF would I know about the Army :P :P :P

Take the holiday mate, And good luck to the lad 8)

I quite sure they will let him go on holiday and the RSM will come along as well to make sure he behaves himself and cleans his boots properly, mind you, it probably mean he will have to start his training again when he gets back still he wont mind that at all.

You're all a bunch of sarcastic buggers.

kwik400,
book the holiday for yourself and forget about the sprog, either that or book it for earlier in the year if your social calendar permits
Good luck to your lad, and you enjoy your holiday
