Rambo IV

Post by SO19 »

Here's the new Rambo IV teaser currently making the rounds, the film is still one year away, so this is just a 'demo' I think which was meant for a recent film festival.

Watch out for the point blank .50 cal goodness. 8)

Old Sly just had his wrist slapped down here for trying to smuggle human growth hormone into OZ

Did you know he wasn`t first choice to play Rimbo, btw?

I know he trained the bleeding Taliban in Rambo II or III, you watch the film and it's ironic 20 years on, makes you feel sorry for the taliban.

I know they wanted Robert Redford to play rocky, but didn't know he wasn't the first choice Rambo,

If it's the same original guy I found on google a few minutes ago to play rambo (JT), that would have been fun to watch.

Steve Mack was first choice.
And if you mix all the Rambo shite together and distill whatever acting "ability" Sly has, it doesn`t even match the way Steve says "well shoot sumptin" in the Sand Pebbles. Top bloke even if a touch piso and his drills on the B.A.R. were spot on 8)

Well we knew he will still be in good shape for the film considering he was recently caught smuggling steroids into australia.

Greywing......As he wrote Rocky and they badly wanted to make a film out of his book, they found that the only way they could get the rights of the book was by letting him play Rocky

Tab... I saw him giving a speech about it once, how he said he had $7 in his pocket when negotiating with the studio. They were offering him $75,000 then $150,000 then $300,000 for the rights for Redford to play the character and Stallone still stood his ground and wouldn't sell unless he played Rocky, must have some balls to do that.

Looks like he's losing the plot nowadays but can't fault him for what he's done. Although I am shocked that he is still alive with all the stuff that he's pump into himself.

After seeing him being interviewed in Sydney I reckon they dub his voice in all his movies.
Probably using his Spitting Image puppet :P

This would have been far better off being made about five years ago when his face was still pretty much unchanged. It's strange what only a couple of years has done to him... so besides the obvious haromes and age, I think he's actually had some work done on his face aswell, or botox, because his nose is a completely different shape than what it was.

Here he is in 'Get Carter' (2000) where he's looking good...

...and here recently where he looks pretty bad.

If you think rambo is a nutter at 60 have a look at Skip Hall the worlds oldest active professional mma fighter

http://www.skiphall.com/

Skip fought in the UK a couple of years ago and i had the great honour to be his cornerman for the fight. I did some training with him and he is wealth of knowledge.
