Trouble Sleeping?
Trouble Sleeping?
Okay does anyone else have trouble sleeping due to not being able to take your mind of the marines?
I know theres that thread of the 'RMs ruined my head' but Im losing sleep because I cant stop thinking about it and I still have 5 months before I even get to the UK!
Its not nerves I think its more just being anxious to get over there. Did/do anyone else have sleeping problems before joining? (just want to check Im not completely bonkers)
Cheers

Sleep
It sounds like your just anxious with the long wait. Hence you're thinking about it at night when you go to bed. Its only natural, so expect it.
I was nervous when I first joined up too. So were a lot of the other guys. I was homesick also. But as the weeks went on this went away as we bonded more and more as a team.
Remember, when you walk into a strange room for the first time, its strange. After you've walked in there a few more times your surroundings become familiar and then its not!
I guess its just a case of preparing yourself physically and mentally whilst you wait patientally for your joing day and then hopefully quickly getting over your joining nerves.
All the very best
Steve

home sickness shouldnt be a problem, i figure i'll be over that by the time i start training.
It may sound stupid but I've been writting lists about everything I need to take with me when I move, and where all the other stuff is going and who too, and crap like that. Kind of organising my thoughts I guess.
Plus a good shag with the girlfriend before bed is always helpful
