Where the bloody hell are you?

G`Day,
in just over an hour it will be the start to the biggest annual piss-up down here 8)
In Perth we have a fireworks show at 21 00 ish, after 400 000 people have spent most of the day getting shite-ers on the banks of the Swan river. It doesn`t get out of hand, much  The whole town is in pardy pardy mode and the smell of barby-ed meat fills the air.
We’ve got three invites to separate gigs but I fancy the oggin first thing followed by a slow barby poolside, at my gaff, eat a bit drink a bit swim a bit sleep a bit. Then start again 8)
I’ll be thinking of you girls up there in all that cold as I relax at forty degrees :P

Happy Australia Day :drinking:

SAM'S BLOG
BUTCHERS AND BIKINIS
What a glorious Summer’s day it was in Melbourne today. The Holden Ute with the barbie on board was fantastic. I reckon if the barbie was a factory option those utes would sell like hotcakes. It actually belonged to a mate of mine, Brendon Watts, who runs a fantastic butcher shop in Doncaster. In fact, back in the day, I lived above the butcher shop he used to own in Richmond.
Now Brendon’s a good bloke, but the good sorts were outstanding. Even I was almost outshone by those magnificent examples of Australian womanhood, the glamorous www.votelamb.com.au bikini girls, one of whom was actually a finalist in the competition to pick the Aussie entrant in the Miss Universe pageant. And you can certainly see why – I almost dropped my lamb chop.
So, my fellow Australians, on this Australia Day eve, it’s time to pull out the barbie, scrape the grill, check the gas bottle , marinade the chops, and get ready to mark our national day with as much patriotic gusto as you can muster.
Have a happy and safe Australia Day, filled with friends, family and lots of nice, juicy, barbecued lamb, wave the flag and celebrate living in the best bloody country in the world.
You know it makes sense. I’m Sam Kekovich.

Its Burns Night up ere Arry, so might have a few later.

TCB is visiting an Edinburgh hospital. He enters a ward full of patients with no obvious sign of injury or illness and greets one. The patient replies:
"Fair fa your honest sonsie face,
Great chieftain o the puddin race,
Aboon them a ye take yer place,
Painch, tripe or thairm,
As langs my airm."
Blair is confused, so he just grins and moves on to the next patient. The patient responds:
"Some hae meat an canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it,
But we hae meat an we can eat,
So let the Lord be thankit."
Even more confused, and his grin now rictus-like, the PM moves on to the next patient, who immediately begins to chant:
"Wee sleekit, cowerin, timrous beasty,
O the panic in thy breasty,
Thou needna start awa sae hastie,
Wi bickering brattle."
Now seriously troubled, Blair turns to the accompanying doctor and asks "Is this a psychiatric ward?"
"No," replies the doctor, "this is the Serious Burns unit."

You should see the rear view of those bikinis JE :o

Well, it got to 43 so we did go down the oggin and had a good day of it.
Obviously, I enjoyed that far more than spending the day getting shite-ers with the lads
Missus Aitch certainly knows what`s best for me :(

Then, as if we hadn`t spent enough time in the water, we went home and flashed up the barby , opened the wine and got in the pool 8)
And best thing is, we get to do it all over again termorrer 8)
And Sunday :P

Here`s me and me child bride and a nice Chardonnay just after sundown this evening :drinking:

By the way, abbos call Australia Day "invasion day"
