This website will give you the dates of when they joined and the name of country. It was updated in October so everything should be correct.

The countries with a (3) next to their name on that link are the most recent to join, on 29 March 2004, so it's more like the last 7 than the last 3.

thanks for that grope that was a really good link, i have become obsessed with learning about nato and the un, its pretty difficult to get my head round it, my mate steven has just passed all his tests just waiting on his date for avionics and he keeps trying to explain, can someone do it in girl language!!??

Ok im going to help you best i can with the information i can offer.
The site which i showed you the countries is the same site im going to give you know, look at the shortcuts and it'll say 'what is NATO?' click on it and a popup will come up and that should tell you everything you need to know http://www.shape.nato.int/
This should help you with the UN: http://www.un.org/geninfo/faq/index.html
