Im 21 and have no qualifications (i have a good reason why i dont.)
Are the pilot qualifications 100% must have?.
or do you think if i set up a meeting and explain why they will give me a chance.

hi
this is my first post aswell, from what i can understand the to be a pilot or any officer you have your head screwed on more than any of the trades. The entry requirements are only the beginning and im sure there are a must. so im afraid if you havent got these theres not much of a chance, please correct me if im wrong. But there are loads of other intersting trades in the RAF. You know what they say you dont have to be a pilot to fly in the RAf

With the number of people applying to be pilots, we can afford to set the bar very high. However, at your age, you could join up as an officer in another branch and MAYBE have a chance to re-branch after IOT. I wouldn't count on it though. Talk to the guys at your nearest AFCO. They'll go through all this stuff with you.
