PRMC

Post by jones1975 »

Hello all,
I'm new on here and have been posting comments ref the prmc the artist has been kind enought to post tips back ref the prmc.
does anybody know of the standards of fitness required to pass as i cant seem to find anyone who has recently passed or attempted the prmc.

Wot sort of training would benefit an old fart like me at 31 and being an ex pongo to help get through the prmc.

at the moment as stated in i'm doing 25 +miles on my mountain bike and intend to start running 3 miles 4 x a week and start press ups sit ups etc would this be enough.

any help would be great guys thanxs

alrite mate, welcome!
Regarding PRMC, ive got mine coming up on the 3rd october and at the moment can do 40 pushups, 10 pullups, 80situps and run 4 miles in 28.30 minutes!
I think i am getting there with the fitness but only time will tell, id like to be a bit quicker on the running and getting higher pushups/situps really!
Anyway good luck and get down your AFCO!

Thanks for the reply mate glad to here you have got your prmc all the very best mate.

Let us know when you have passed 100% mate and got your boots and socks and your dates mucker.

And remember to give it 100% even when you can't give anymore mate as i've heard it's hell on that bottom field.

My bloke Passed out on the 15th of this month and his training regime was quite strict for his PRMC.

The careers office should have given you a booklet in it should be a recommended training programme. If you haven't got one then I would go and get one.

I think this is probably the same though...

http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/server/show/nav.4019 - this is the programme on the RM website...best of luck!
