Ratings pay

Post by Strathclyde »

Hi guys. I am thinking of joining the Royal navy as either a seaman specialist, communications and information specialist or amine warfare specialist. It says ont the site that I will earn between £13866 and £28.042 but what would I be earning after say, 2 years? And 4 years?

Thanks. Any info on the above jobs would be great too.

Dunno mate, haven’t a scoobs what Matelots get payed. :-?
It`s not just the money though, hey? Way of life mate, way of life. 8)

Probably better off in an outdoors environment, meeting the public on a day to day, face to face basis, some knowledge of spatial planning, ability to prioritise and a keen awareness of traffic regulations would be useful. Fugg it, I’ll take that job collecting the trolleys in Tesco`s car park then :P

Hi, you have to join first then get an SQ and then work hard, all that is a load of IFs, the lower amount is what you will be able to earn as a Nod, the higher will be the Max you can earn following promotion to the top, which will most probably take you a good 15 to 20 years.

Hope that helps

Equivalent to today`s E.U. rates, that`s one point two groats per day.
Point two of a groat can be saved for you, each day, to cover your expenses when you next go ashore.
Leaving you the princely sum of one whole groat per day`s service, plus a proportionate share of any prize.
I`d take it if I were you 8)
Heyup Jim, who let you out :P
