The kit you have to buy before you start

Post by Keith00 »

Seriously though, I've just got a list of stuff I need before I start my Basic training. Can someone tell me what I can get away with?

What are trouser bungee straps. Do I need an Iron? Should I buy new trainers? Do I need to wear a suit on my first day? Not making demands from anyone but any help would be good.

Cheers, any help would be appreciated.

Ok, here goes with what you need and don't. You don't need to get a new pair of trainers. They supply you with two pairs and you have to use them all the ime whn you do PT.
An Iron is a definate. You will be ironing alot over your 5 out of 9 weeks, and borrowing other peoples is not good as you need it for so long, it can start unecessary arguments.
Don't buy a suit, first impressions are good yes, but a shirt and tie affair at this stage is plenty. Especially whenyou are already in!
Also definately buy bungees , they are a couple of pounds and make you looksmart when you put on your DPM's.
Hope that helps.
