Iraq, Saddam and do gooders.

Post by ray7155 »

Hello there,

It is now obvious that the Iraqis don't understand or like the 'democracy' we are trying to impose on them! Perhaps the best thing would be to re-instate Saddam, this system worked and the Iraqis understood it. We could give Saddam the money it is costing us to stay there and then he could run his own system and like Catch 22 he could bomb his own and save us the trouble. There would be no more soldiers and body bags to worry about and no more stupid do gooders getting themselves taken hostage. I have seen an item in another website that suggested we should make all do gooders sign a statement saying they do not wish to be rescued in the event they are kidnapped, this seems like an excellent idea!

The rights and wrongs of the Allies leaders are immaterial here, it's the poor bottom rung squaddie that is getting shit on as usual.

Even if it were desirable, we killed both of his sons. No coming back from that. Ironically El Sadr might end up the new "strong man" who'll keep Iraq 'together' using Saddam's methods.
We'll see.

It is generally agreed that the whole Iraq experience (still going on),is a complete cock up. Time for the coalition to move out.Whatever the cost, will never equal what has been wasted in lives alone up to now.

No need to look for another Sadaam type there will be plenty of the little fellows wanting take over.

Of course these communities don't want Democracy it is not their culture

My bet would be three separate domains which really what is the underlying problem now .

Do gooders will always be an irritation they should be left to their own devices. Our and other forces are need for more important operations.
