Deferred on enlistment?

Post by Coco5 »

Hi guys, im new to the forums and ive got a query i was hoping someone may be able to help me with.

5 months ago I was all set to start basic when a member of my family developed a serious illness. I wasnt in the right frame of mind to start training and i told the careers office i didnt want to go through with it. The recruiter at the AFCO told me i would be classed as 'deferred on enlistment' and i haven't heard anything since.

My family situation has now eased and i really want to join the Army but im not sure where I stand. I am going to speak to my local careers office next week but i just wondered if anyone had any experiences or knowledge of being deferred on enlistment.

Thanks

Go to the AFCO and you should be OK with all the previous bits (medical etc).
Off you go
