Think the worst set of jumps i've been on were only last week.
We were out in Cyprus doing a spot of freefall, only the weather was crap with loads of rain clouds around...apparently it doesn't hurt enough falling through the fu*kers! The blokes sporting bright red heads afterwards!

If its a civvy jump you'll be fine....square canopys are mega, and really easy to steer (so you can aviod all those trees  )

Military jumps on the other hand....

Don't worry about it, you'll be fine, Bad Lippspringe's a good DZ. Just try and avoid the golf course! I landed there once (following a mate who was on his reserve), on the bumpy bit (technical term there), doesn't make for an ideal landing!

The Static Balloons were the best, it was so quite when you went up you could listen to all those knees knocking, and when you jumped that fall was fabulous and again the silence. It always appeared to me that you were standing still and earth was coming up to meet you.

Did my first out of a balloon when I was 17, was convinced that I was going to die! :o

Did a few since on Queens Ave and quite enjoyed them though! I think it's a shame they binned it, was quite a good balls test!

Got to like the balloon, up and down like a yoyo on Queens Ave.
Found it easier to look up when you came out and watch the rigging come out. Have always thought that if I had a malfunction on the first one they would have buried me with my eyes closed and teeth tightly clenched and I wouldn't have known a thing about it. :o

Harry hackedoff... funny you should say that. I was out there with Green ronnie doing the very same jumps through cloud!
Got to follow him taking a tandem out We were all in bits with red heads after that one... felt like being hailstoned in the face!

Ach don't worry, just don't look down!

I did a few jumps. should of learnt by the first one that heights arn't my best thing. I was lit. pushed out the first time but I wanted to prove to myself (and my other ship mates) that it didn't bother me. Until Cape town, my mate went smack bang into a cliff, broke her leg. So that put an end to jumping out of planes.

I was then left with rapid roping, not that I had a choice. Frigging chickens took the option of boarding by sea boat and I was left with the nice little helo and a crazy RM screaming at me 80ft up :drinking:
