London Terror Bombings
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say that I was very sad and disgusted with events of 7/7/05 and 21/7/05. My heartfelt condolences to all those families affected by this senseless tragedy. The perpetrators behind these terrorist acts should be severely punished.
I use the tube everyday to central London especially the Piccadilly line. Today, I passed through Kings Cross towards Russell Square, it was surreal. The very passage where many passengers died. I kept looking at the tunnel walls and all the wires and I had this strange feeling when the train slowed down and stopped for about 20 seconds and I kept thinking of those photographed faces of some those people who had been declared dead. I felt a sense of relief when I reached Russell Square.
P.S
I had my rucksack searched today,, it was a bit full though I had by notebooks, cardigan and my lunch box and a bottle of water ! I knew I would, sooner or later as I do like a bit foreign ! Mum told me I should be more ladylike and use a lady's briefcase but I can't put alot in a brief case !!

Hey Wholley, sorry its Paulie now isn't it
Me ole mate, nice to hear from you ! My computer was in a coma for a few weeks, so I was off the internet ! Also. had alot visitors and a couple of weddings to go to
!!
Hi there Tab,
I sometimes interchange at Kings Cross, I'm the dishevelled foreign looking one with the rucksack !!
I suppose I will have to get used to it. I know there is alot of misconceptions and there is alot of bad feelings on many sides.
So far I have been lucky not to have faced any hostility but some women have !
The muslim community have turned a blind eye to what has been happening within the mosques and have been in self denial for many years but i do also feel that the British government should have a tighter control of who is allowed in the country.
London Stands United !

Heyup Marina
Dishevelled? You? Naw mate. Windswept, perhaps
And it`s still Wholley btw. I only call him Paulie when I`m taking the piss
Which wouldn`t be that often, obviously
HM Govts, of whatever hue, have an excellent track record of not alienating large sections of the community with disasterous results
Like fark they do.
Let`s see if they get it right this time because the consequences will be dire for all concerned if they don`t.
I hear the good old black cabs are creaming it in, btw.
Take care on thunderground M, be vigilant with regard to your own pers security.
Or else you could always walk

Hiya Harry
Its always great to hear from you
I do always take care of my rucksack, I hold it tightly always which may not be a good sign ! I do watch out for odd things going around. A couple of weeks ago, I thought I was being watched. This woman sitting opposite me, kept on looking at me susupiciously everytime I took something out of my rucksack, i.e book or tissues !! Paranoia has set in.
The other day I saw this selfridges shopping bag on the stairs of my
home station and reported the bag to the station manager...... only to find out this lady came running back & had dropped her shopping bag and forgot as she had loads of bags !
The underground reminds me of the airport nowadays with so much security inside and out.
Also I notice, the police are always in big numbers on a thursday !! Why, the terrorists can always strike anytime 24/7
P.S
I did walk for 3 hours and then I got the bus home on 7/7/05!
Then I got lift, 2 weeks later !
Anyway, Mum says I gotta lose the rucksack

The British are feeling the pinch in relation to the recent London bombings, the threat level has just been raised from 'miffed' to "peeved'. Soon though, the levels may be raised yet again to "irritated' or even "a bit cross". Londoners have not been a "bit cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out.
Terrorists have been re-categorised from "tiresome" to "a bloody nuisance", the last time a "bloody nuisance" warning level was issued was during the Great Fire of 1666.
But also be aware that the French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from RUN to HIDE. The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralysing their military capability. The only two higher levels in France are Surrender and Collaborate.
It's not only the French that are on a heightened level of alert, the Italians have increased their alert level from "shout loudly and excitedly" to "elaborate military posturing". Two more levels remain, "ineffective combat operations" and "change sides".
The Germans also increased their alert state from "disdainful arrogance" to "playing dress up in uniform and sing loud marching songs". They have two higher levels, "invade a neighbour" and "lose".
Seeing this reaction in continental Europe the Americans have gone from "isolationism" to "find another oil-rich nation in the middle east ripe for regime change". Their remaining higher alert states are "attack the world" and "beg the British for help".
Finally in GB they've gone back to "pretend nothing's happening" which is just above "make another cup of tea". Lower levels are "remain resolutely cheerful" and "win".
