London Terror Bombings

Post by Mike »

My heart and sincere thoughts go out to those caught up in these disgusting and atrocious actions of mindless destruction by hate blinded few.

They should remember that hatred only consumes those who perpetrate hate and not those who receive hate

As Ken Livingston’s has just said, The are not striking at the Government but ordinary people Muslims, Jews, Black, White, Christians, Buddhists Young and old... they will never win or kill the ordinary peoples resolve.

Thank you, the emergency services, for the Stirling work you do without hesitation

Aye Mike

What a terrible day, one day the whole of London is in adulation about getting the games, the next we have to deal with terror attacks like we haven’t seen in years.

Hats of to our emergency services today, they showed their true colours and for once we should all be very proud of them.

This will not change anything, we are not going to run with our tail between our legs, we, the British are made of stronger stuff.

Echo what everyone else has said. I have a friend in the London Ambulance Service and he's safe and well but has never saw anything like it. These pictures from the BBC website are harrowing. Makes it very "human" after seeing media coverage.

Given the potential, the number of fatalities has been very low. That may sound glib but it isn’t meant to be. I would therefore assume that the amount of explosive used in each case, was relatively small. Was this because of the difficulties, logistic and otherwise, in obtaining larger amounts? Or was the aim to totally disrupt the normal operation of the London transport system rather than to cause enormous numbers of casualties?
Four people didn’t get off a plane at Heathrow tooled up for the bomb run. They had to have had local help with surveillance, intelligence, planning, targeting, logistics, accommodation etc etc. And all of this had to be covert. How many were involved? At least ten or twelve.Maybe as many as thirty. They will have left an evidence trail.London is one of the most cctv-ed citys I know. Talk to everyone who was on the bus from when it started work untill it blew up. Fit their storys to the cctv. Basic police work will identify the culprits. Find them and kill them.

A sad day indeed but Londoners with get on with their lives and show the cowardly scum that they will never win. As Bert said the bombers just didn't get off a plane at Heathrow this morning; there had to be local knowledge and back up for this. I'm really sorry for all the people killed and wounded but I would feel less sorry had they been solicitors, lawyers, judges and all the do-gooders who prevent the government from deporting or jailing all the known terrorists/supporters of terrorists that they know. It's time the government took charge of the country and started doing the job they were voted in to office for and part of that job is the safety and wellbeing of the indigenous population.

Had a harrowing day, the Mrs was having kittens, to be honest I was too until I found out my boy was safe and sound. His fiancee was on her way into the underground as the blast went off. She was unhurt but badly shaken her mate was not so lucky. So far we don't know the extent of her injuries. Fiancee is still in shock and stuck in London. Boy has been freaking out trying to get to her. Fortunately her employers have arranged an hotel room for her and a couple of her colleagues this evening.

These bastards need shooting :2gunfire:

My thoughts are with all those directly affected by this morning's mindless acts of terrorism. Are these people human who can cause so much pain and suffering to innocent civilians? My prayers are with those who have died today and their families. God bless.

There is little to be said other than to think of the dead and their families who will struggle to come to terms with what has happened and for what purpose.

The emergency response was magnificent
