This book is the authors account of life in the Ulster Defence Regiment from its formation in the eairly 70's to around 82. He was a Company comander in 5 UDR. Some of you may have served with the UDR in the past, but put aside your preconcieved ideas about them and give the book a read and imagine it from the soldiers perspective, constantly liveing with danger, long hours, no thanks, burying your friends and family.
