Sneaky Beaky thanks for a straight answer. Too many people on this forum tend to gob off on the slightest pretext...

WHOA! I didn't say you collected them, read again. Your question was a bit like "how many people have you killed?" and "whats it like to kill someone?". Most people dont tend to answer such questions.

However, I do have medals if you really must know. All for football in the BB's when I was primary school age. Unfortunatley I haven't had the chance for a VC yet, but its only time.

P.S. I'm not a ned.
There are 3 kinds of people: those who can count & those who can't.

I have a funny story about medals! Whitey will love this one!

My old man served in Vietnam and was to be awarded an bronze star, and promoted to SSG which was a big deal than due to the whole SPC rank nonsense, which in his unit you had to be promoted to SPC 6 (which carries the pay grade of E6) before you could be promoted to Sgt (E5), anyhoo some new 1st Sgt just in from the world who never had a hard ship tour in his life was busting the troops chops about starching their fatiges, polishing their boots, and getting a haircut etc. Anyway my Dad had been in country for about a year at this point and went to go talk this 1st Sgt down. Well his 1st Sgt would have none of it and challenged my pops to a FIGHT! SO my dad, who spent his youth boxing and doing constuction work said "okay" and proceded to beat the @ss off this guy. Well it cost him his Bronze star and a stripe. But he was cool with it he just said "if I deserved it before I deserve it now." Apparently that 1st Sgt lost his nerve after someone rolled a grenade into his office. Funny how that works.
