*Rumour* UK to have a new weapon system + new technology?

I have heard rumours that the UK is ment to be having new up-to-date modern technology and a new weapon system in 2006-2010.

Is this true? and if it is, does anyone have any information about this?

(p.s. already did a search on this forum, couldnt find anything)

The bows ans arrows are almost ready, so are the tin cans and string so we should be well equiped as forceful modern army.

Funny thing that...I've always wondered what would happen if you maybe (in say Iraq) advanced a modern ground force (in close combat) against another modern army but had some Welsh Longbowmen in the rear...meh, stupid thought.
