S.I.S Hereford?

Post by matthewl »

Rite lads,
are there any lads here who have experience of working for the aforementioned company? I have recently been in contact with them re: working low level (uk based) security jobs, hopefully progressing on to work abroad (got to prove my salt first!)Any info regarding their reputation ,profesionalism/working standards and support(?) would be much appreciated.....

matthewl,

I've read your posts and I think you're a proper Walter Mitty. It sounds like you used your little rash to get out of training.

Why don't stop you stop posting on this forum?

Has this guy even started training yet, i have seen 18th June on his sig. So that means he has only just started basic training and he is thinking of another career??? Am i right or wrong??

After reading a few other posts as well, it seems matthewl is what i would call a dreamer. He thinks about doing this and that, goes about saying he will do this and that, but really thats all it is, is thought. Stop wasting your own time thinking you can be a soldier as you dont don't have the one one aspect others like me have, WANT. We WANT to be Paras, Marines, RAF, Navy. I dont think you could get past a week or two without wanting something so badly otherwise it will be just another dropout like all the other dreamers.

Matthewl, you asked me a couple of weeks ago wether you could join the Dutch commando's, saying you're already in touch with the consulate in London about changing your nationality. I've seen you posting several other "options" you are considering. Keeping you're options open is one thing, but if you're for real, maybe you should just sit back for a while and think about what you are looking for in life. You're not making a very determined impression on everyone here, which is what you need before you apply for any branch of the armed forces.

Cheers lads !
No I aint a walter simply put!
I made it to week 20 in RM trainning before being given no option of staying as the fact that I had excema resulted in an MD! I had always wanted to be a Mne and was gutted having to leave! The opinions of the old and bold/serving members I accept (your entitled to your opinion) but GV what do you know about me? Also what experience are you speaking from you aint even started Rct. trainning yet!
The date on my sig is the date my old Troop passed out! Dont even talk about dedication if you were aware of where abouts in N.I I came form (ie religious/political area) it takes alot of dedication to join the British forces ,El Prez will be aware of this!
Seven my inquires were mearly that just interested! Jesse congrats on passing out and I know lads from my Troop who got drafted to 42 and will tell you I never used anything as an excuse and in relation to posting here you can F@#K Right Off im just as entitled to use the forum as you! I was simply asking for advice lads(as I have give re:RM trainning to others)Cheers!

I know nothing what so ever about you, but that does not mean I don't have an opinion. If I was to go around wanting to be a paratrooper and then change to Marine and then the Dutch Commandos, would you think the same of me? Of course you would, I have no beef with you I just stated my opinion. I didn't know it was your pass out date, I thought it was your start date, my apologies for assuming that.

Jesse, had you not considered joining other forces before joining the Royal Marines? If you were going to be MD'd from the marines would you not look into joining other forces and weighing up their benefits? Keep in mind that the recruitment process for the Irish Army this year is extremely short. I'm at the same stage as Matthewl in the selection procedures i.e. i've passed everything (interview, medical, physical) and I only applied last month! The Irish Army don't take recruits in every week or two either, it's every 6 months or so and that's only if they need recruits. I understand and agree Matthewl's approach on keeping all his doors open, because even though he's passed all the selection procedures he's NOT guaranteed a place yet or in the future. Keeping your options open is just common sense.

Walter Mitty with chad excuses

Post by Jesse »

matthewl,

If you were hanging-out so badly from eczema that you were discharged, how did you get into the Irish armed forces?

Surely an MD from the Marines would make it tough to join up elsewhere.

Also, if you want: I'll find the lads from 864 Troop who went to 42 and ask them about you. PM me your name.

Jesse
