Some people have pm'd me in the last few months wanting to hear how it went but I never really got round to uploading the pictures, there are over 200 of them but I have chosen some nice ones to post here.
A nice view of lissabon from some old wall, this was the first day I think
Huge bridge in Lissabon connecting one side of the bay to the other.
A column of centipedes marching up a spiraling road wich went up to the top of a hil were there was a huge rave, me and Bryan, this Canadian I met in the hostel in lissabon went. It took us 9 bloody hours to find as it was in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE . But It was bloody awsome and I danced all night with nice portugese girls
After walking for 30 km's, 48 hours of no sleep and hardly any food, I finally got to seville in Spain, on the way I met 4 other Canadians who like me wanted to go to Marrakesh, Luck struck me and my bankcard wasn't working anymore so I would have to go to Gibraltar first where My mom has a good familly friend who could help me out. The station closed just as our train arrived there and we ended up sleeping outside in the park
Ah, the sunny road from la linea into Gibraltar, after 2 bloody days in spain where everyone was unfriendly and didn't speak a word of English I was dying to get onto British soil for a good fry up and a cup of brew. I practically ran across the border. My mom transferd money to her friends account where I stayed for 2 nights, my money problems where over and I even went clubbing with her son. Gibraltariens are quit agressive though
Because Gibraltar is built on a rock, everything slopes upwords, to go from one street to the next you have to climb up endless stairways. And with the bergen type bag I had with me it soon got tiring trying to look for my mom's friends house in the baking 30 degrees sun. This is a picture of a typical street.
Me sitting on top of one of the many WW2 cannons chilling out and drinking a beer (wich can't be seen as I took it hehe).
The inside of Gibraltar is a huge cave/tunnel complex, these are from ST.micheals cave, it was alien like the way the rock formations were.
A cheeky ape who stole our digestive's on the rock, they are quite agressive and will gang up on people and actually gang-rob you if they know you have food.
Me in Marrakesh with 2 English people I met on the train from Tanger, Alex and Cloë, who had both hitchhiked there from England!
On the terrace of our hotel on a warm maroccan night, I was a bit pissed
A huge tower of one of the biggest mosque's in marocco, it was something like 50 meters tall.
A small wooden bridge over a fast flowing river in the mountains, we found this guy called hussein, who was a tourguide, he brought us into the mountains for half a day and showed us around traditional villages, we ended up paying about 7 quid each, you can't beat that!
Me overlooking the lovely mountains/hills, coming from a country where everything is flat I was a bit dazzled by it all.
Theres so much more, so many more funny stories, but I don't want to bore you all to death, this was one of the best experiences of my life, I met so many people and experienced so much. I really recommend a trip like this over any 2 week ibiza thing.[/b]

Great pics Gary, Gibraltar looks really cool. Can't wait to go there.
Cheers mate,
Josh.
Check it out, Independently targetting particle-beam phalanx. VWAP! Fry half a city with this puppy. We got tactical smart-missles, phased plasma pulse-rifles, RPG's. We got sonic electronic ballbreakers, we got nukes, we got knives, sharp sticks..."
That's really impressive Gary, I have always thought about just going and exploring different parts of Europe, I think I am gonna sit down and think it out now
Gary, reference your photograph of the 'centipedes'; I think you will find that they aren't 'centipedes' but in fact are 'blind caterpillars' and that is how they travel from pine tree to pine tree. Also they are extremely dangerous and should an animal such as a dog or cat just touch them it can be fatal.
i have been to all three destinations , i do find Gibraltar fascinating, mind u the spics arent too happy about it ,
i also travelled all over europe on Interail and saw so many things , it was an experience of a lifetime, i would recommend it to anyone

You wont last long in the army if you are found smoking dope! But i suppose you cant help it much, living in Amsterdam!!
James
1. It's in his hand not mine.
2. I'm not in the army yet.
3. It was nearly 3 months ago.
4. My urine is as clear as a babies conscience.
5. I am really fit and can't wait to join the army.
(im not stupid mate )
Only a loon would smoke dope in the army, and yes, its very tempting living in Amsterdam, everytime you go on the piss all your mates are smoking it, people on the street smoke it, its everywhere, its just as normal as having a beer wich makes it quite a pain in the arse to avoid. So far Ive been clean though, i have no problem, I just feel sorry for people who ruine their carreers by having a last-day smoke before basic or something.
What actually happens if they find any of the stuff in your urine at basic piss test?
