Sign on the dotted line.

Talk to your AFCO, he can probably arrange to stick you on some acquaint visits before you sign on the dotted line, failing that you could contact the Corps/Regiment you are specifically interested in directly and see if they'd take you on for a few days.

If you want to do work experience whatever it is you want to do, You should sort it out as quickly as possible. When I did mine I left it till the last minute and ended up working as a green keeper on a local golf course. I didn’t know the first thing about golf or gardening. Speak to a careers advisor at your school and they should be able to hook you up something at your local barracks or unit. Some of the kids I knew got to do their work experience at ATR Lichfield.

They are a decent bunch of lads... don't worry about them.

Be yourself and don't take the bait too much. They'll take the mick and have some fun with you, join in and you'll have a whale of a time!
