Hi
I have seen a small group of young RAF and USAF guys training together whilst I was on holiday.
They were talking about the runway. I was wondering what role this might be as it seems pretty exciting and interesting.

Re: RAF training abroad
They could be aircrew or just very interested members of their own airforces and just chatting about different aspects of the requirements of different aircraft

So aircrew means pilot right?Tab wrote:They could be aircrew or just very interested members of their own airforces and just chatting about different aspects of the requirements of different aircraft
What other roles could it be. I know that on the island there is an airbase for the spanish airforce, if that helps. If you travel all that way for training is it likely to be more on the pilot side of things or could it also be for non-flying roles like aircraft inspector/engineer/technician?
