Re: PJFT Prep

Try interval training, there are loads of ideas to play around with, one favourite of mine is
400m run (fast!), 1 minutes rest; repeat 10 times

You can improve your speed by on normal runs by doing speed work like this.

Re: Recruiting Now

Great stuff. I'm sure all the many Kenyan nationals that are registered on this site, in particular in the British Royal Marines section in which you have posted, will beat a hasty track to your door.

Re: Recovering fitness

Well it turns out I was suffering from a condition called Adrenal Fatigue . It was misdiagnosed and I went through every antibiotic they could throw at me, checked for mental illness (none found!), meanwhile being labelled too old and lazy, amongst other things. This from people who are younger and ...

Re: Gay Military Personnel

Surely this is heterophobic.
Are heterosexual people not allowed to take part in this art project?
It is forbidden and frowned upon to discriminate against people for their sexuality, is it not...?

Re: new here :)

It could be the following week in some cases, or months later - depending on spaces on PRAC courses.

Re: Personal fitness for ADSC & PRAC

Sounds like you're doing well there.
I'd sack the 1.5 mile runs, and do circuit training instead (at least once a week).
Sprint training too.
Mix things up. Your press ups and sit ups sound good but don't miss out on all round fitness.
What stage of the application process are you at?

Start a new application for Regular as if you hadn't done the Reserves one.

Re: Para Tats question

My dad was a Royal Marine, I am not, but have great respect for them and some good friends there. However I wouldn't dream of getting a RM tattoo. Terrible idea. If you want a Dad tattoo, maybe design something that has a reference to the para wings, but no actual para badges? It would be sad if you...

Re: Hello!

Hi there, welcome to the forum. If you " haven't done any real exercise in the past 2 years ", then your best course of action is to undertake a period of all-round fitness, such as joining a local gym and getting a programme from the instructor there. Forcing yourself into a hard training...

Re: Rejected on medical questionnaire

The new civi questionnaire system basically fails anyone on anything less than perfect, refers your application as a "query" to be dealt with, and you end up getting pushed through by a judgement made by a military recruiter. There's no way to hasten or influence this process. Sounds like ...

I don't know about E&D, but some of the women I've dated have been a bit D&D!
