Accepted a commission in the Parachute Regiment today!
Absolutely over the moon!!
Just got a week with the Guards, PCD, P Coy and Jumps to do!!!!

what's the situation regarding leave on a 3, 6 or 10 month tour etc? when do u tend to be granted leave? how long will it be? are you flown back? does it count against your holiday entitlement?

I've got a visit to 3 Para in Colchester next wk, and i'm likely to have an interview with the CO or the Adjutant. If anyone has any info that would be useful such as what 3 Para has been up to recently? some info on the CO or Adj? It would be much appreciated.

just wondered how 29 commando go about choosing their officers? would they take any direct from sandhurst, albeit after gaining the right quals and doing the right courses?
