My mate is a supplier. As a job goes its fairly mundane and opportunities outside the RAF are limited unless you want to be a warehouse manager. RAF nurses get promotionm quick initially and earn far in excess what NHS nurses do. Go for the Nurses job, there are some good stable postings and the ...

Just read this thread with interest...a comment made much earlier slagged off judo and made it sound like a difficult and technical way of 'fighting'. I would argue that is in fact quite simple and throws only require 'gross motor' skills unlike aikido which often uses 'fine motor' skills. It has ...

Just to finish the point l have had the miss fortune to attend a fatal accident of a colleague at work and two serious injury accidents of colleagues of the same nature. Had they been members of the public it would have been just another accident...but to see your mates hurt l found incredably hard ...

I can second that. I have dealt with two sudden deaths this week and it all becomes very matter of fact and impersonable. The so called 'dark' sense of humour helps no end and l have numerous stories of that nature, many l wouldn't repeat. I strongly believe that repetition dulls the senses and it ...

Sky Marshalls will be highly trained exsisting Police Firearms Officers, mainly drawn at a guess from the Met. They will come from departments such as SO19 and DPG. It won't be a free for all job application as many of the powers they will be using will be under the aviation act which only enpowers ...

When l did PGAC many moons ago it was l believe 4 lengths any stroke then a minute or 2 treading water, fairly easy no time limit for the swim just had to complete it. To be warned it comes straight after the bleep test with no rest. I don't quite understand the comment about the bleep test as it ...
