Avionics takes about 14 months at Cosford. You start off in the classroom doing basic maths/science before moving on to comms/radar and flight systems. Then things get a bit more hands on and you start learning how to fix stuff on actual aircaft.

What are the eyesight requirements for joining the SF? Is laser eye surgery accepted?
