Read up on the world wide news, look for probable future trouble spots. What sort of of opinion do you have on Iraq and Afghanistan, and how do you see our future there, also if you where in charge what would you do. Read up on the equipment in use and are we making the most of what we have got ...

Ha yeah, unless I'm 100% sure I stick with full names and titles :)

I'm going to head to an Army recruitment office, and get a bit of advice there. I have exams coming up though, so I'll be concentrating on them for now.

Hi Artist, I don't think I could have put it better.
In your honest opinion how would you describe your experience in the Marines?
Tab, thanks i guess so, I know I will be dedicated which ever corps I choose, but the Marines do appeal to me at this point in time.

thanks again.

the Army aren't quite as well trained as the Marines

Bob,there are loads of roles in the Army and for you to generalise like that is quite ignorant.

Like I said before you need to look at which job you want to do not which unit you want to join

Hi Adam, i don't mean to offend anyone, i am ...

Re: Marines or the Army?

Ouch!

Not having a pop mate, but in my humble opinion like many people who post about joining the army/marines or paras/marines you may have read to many commando comics (though i still read them sometimes they're great!). Joining the armed forces in any capacity requires a level of fitness ...

I think you are looking at it from all the wrong angles myself.

Ever thought of a trade?

Look past the trainign to make a decision then once made concentrate on one and getting in/passing.

Doc

Hi Doc, since i started looking i have been keen to join the Marines, but recently i have been ...

Marines or the Army?

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question.
-I have been considering joining the Royal Marines for a while now, but I'm also keen to join the British Army. I'm not sure which one to choose as I'm stuck between; preferring the high quality training that the Marines offer (all be it a lot harder), but I ...

Hey guys thanks. I tried using google, and found a few good results. The first though was very much how I described and wondered if thats how it would be for the Marines (as this one was just a random one for anything).

I'm not 100% sure if I want to branch off and do other things within the ...

Psychometric Test

Hey everyone.

When you get to do the Psychometric Examination (it's all about judging your personality right?), do they mark you badly if you put one answer meaning...

'I work well with others.'

and on a different one worded differently...

'I'm not a team player.' Or however you want.
I know I'm ...

Cheers I'll keep an eye on the Joining and Training section.

I'll concentrate on them three, and improve my time for the 3 miler.
Just wondering though...

Is it still 1.5 as a group next 1.5 best you can or not?
Is it possible to be failed if you miss the target for ANY of the exercises, or does ...

what kind of training should i do?

Hi everyone,

I plan to join the Marines in the next few years.
I have read other posts and found the some of the exercises I should be doing; press-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, running, swimming... and mainly working on stamina.

Are there any other different exercises that I could do that would give me ...
