Friendly Fire?
Hi all! I'm writing a novel, as some of you may know. I've come across a bit of a minefield... Hey all! Backtracking to my question about snipers in the whole desert environment. The mission continues, but there is an accident involving an MQ-9 Reaper Drone, which is in autonomous flight mode and ha...

Re: SEG - under attack.
I have to say that the information I've recieved has been from internet sources. Due to OpSec, I can't (understandably so) access the particulars, but this attack needs to happen as part of the plot. But, I want it to conform to the rest of the novel, and not go off on a tangent. As I've mentioned, ...

SEG - under attack.
I am well aware of OPSEC and if the moderators feel that this post could in anyway violate OpSec, then I won't protest if its removed - I would ask that the mods send me a private message, explaining why it was taken down. The British Ministry of Defence uses a Special Escort Group consisting of an ...

Joining the Royal Navy.
Hi there, I'll be out of school in 8 months and I'll be 18 - I'm planning on joining the RN as an armourer, not a naval weapons tech - I'm talking small arms (pistols, rifles, etc) I'm wondering whether that's better suited to joining the Army? I also live in Canada, despite being from the UK - I'm ...

Seeking information on the British military - periodically
Hello everyone, whilst I have not been in the service I have an active interest in military affairs, I'm also writing a novel based around the British military. I don't know whether this is a question best suited for the RAF forum, but what I'm looking for is take-off procedures for a UH-60 Black Ha...
