iam joining the RLC as a Ammunation Tech on the 4th july (couple of weeks cant wait)
Think i could get down to 6mins but i have started running with a backpack on with nothing heavy (just a couple of coats and other clothing) and my times went up by 2-3mins

Asking anybody who's currently training to join the armed forces to comapre running times and other training programes......
Iam currently running 5miles in a best time of 35mins 23secs.......3miles = (including a long steep bank) 22mins. I also do boxing once a week and football at weekends ...

one more question, do you for exmaple get £200 per week and say you are given £10 to spend and is the rest put into your bank account or does it work a different way

Did he pass with the grade D or did he chose to be deferred and have go back and try again. If deferred i think he will have to wait 3 months (not 100%)

congrats on your new run time.....
When you go to basic training, one of the first things you do is 2min max sit-ups nd press-ups followed by a 1.5mile run, think it is basically to give the insrtuctors an idea of what level of fitness you are at....

The 1.5mile run time all depends on what job you want to, under 10:30 mins should be ok for most jobs, when i went to selection a couple of weeks the only press-ups and sit-ups we did was durin the 30mins PT session. You do some heaves before the PT session but that is not a pass or fail, just best ...

I just had my selcetion at glencoure 7th and 8th of june........ got deferred for 3 months i think. i need glasses because my left eye is fine but my right eye is not up to army standards.... boooooooooooo.
i did 10 heaves, 1.5 mile time = 9.47, TST = 43. Icebreaker was good, 10/10 for grenade ...

how long is the ice breaker at selection?......recently passed interview with office manager at careers office (waitin for date to go to selection) and he said something about talkin for 10 mins..
