I currently have the misfortune of working with somebody who claims to have been in the RM. however his story doesn't quite seem to match up. As my military knowledge is confined to that of careers talks and newspapers I'd be grateful if some marines could give me their expert opinion.

I am considering applying to join the Royal Military Police. However while at university I got into financial trouble which now thankfully has all been recently settled. Will this affect my application and do they do a credit/financial check on you when you apply?
