I have been becoming increasingly interested in the RAF Regiment recently however I am actually having trouble getting info the the required fitness levels for joining.

Can anyone give examples of the level of fitness that an applicant would need to attain? For example: X amount of press ups, X ...

Seems to be alot of this pish running about atm. Navy not allowed page 3 pin ups, think they said the same to the RAF as well.

Stupid pen pushers. They are prob more worried about the cost of paint to do these things than being politically correct!

I think its fantastic the amount of attention people seem to be paying to the 25th Anniversary of the Falklands.

On a side note, on the 6th pikky down isn't that a SFSG badge? Was under the impression they kept a low profile, surprised they are allowed to be photographed.

No dry suit. Most of those requirements seem ok by me, I can prob do those (other than the pull ups cos im a weed) now.

Good stuff thanks for the info. Are those runs one after the other (so basically a 3 mile run) or is there a break?

Hi all.

Very good to see this thread because I was about to post something very similar myself.

Im looking into joining the Navy as a diver. Im looking for 2 bits of info if possible..

1) Will my diving experience help my application? Ive got my open water diving cert already and have 50+ dives ...
