Hi everyone,
On the 4th November I am going to do the 9-miler Commando test around the lanes and paths surrounding my university town in Oxford. I'll be carrying all the right weight etc. etc. and of course attempt to keep it within 90 mins.
This is all to raise money for the South Pole expedition ...

Are you still coming tomorrow then? The rest will really help and you should be off phys for 4days pre-POC anyhow.
I look forward to meeting you...

Dress as you turn up to CTC for POC
Hi guys,
Just a quick question. It's been so long since my 2002 POC that I've forgotten what clothing is expected when you turn up at the gates i.e literally what you wear to enter CTC, walk down to the Mess and the grots? Silly really, but I assume it's a suit?
Also, does anyone on a recent POC ...

Hiya.
I know we are no longer allowed OHP sheets etc. , but are we allowed prompt cards for our own use?
Thanks, a.

poc
hi.
cheers for that.
I passed POC and AIB when 16 so have a rough idea of the plan. Goy, being young isn't a problem matey. They know what you've had time to do and so will expect no more than what is reasonable. are you up for a scholarship/bursary etc?
i got permission from AIB to apply this ...

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone else got a POC on these dates? 3-5th July 06
Passed both POC and AIB when I was 16 but am retaking for the chance to get a Bursary/Reserved Place on the YO batch 08.

POC bleep score
I got 13.8 on POC. A couple of guys kept going well into the 14s. Shouldn't worry overly about the test though....there are harder things on PRMC/POC!!!!

Hiya
Hi mate,
Looks good, but unless you are doing high intensity hill climbing on the bike, the 20 min cycles are rather short. For building leg strength and stamina, you should be looking for a minimum of a hour, preferably around 1.5-2 hrs. Are you on a race bike or mountain bike?
Good luck!!
