You sign up for a thing called DOMCOL, which entitles you to £400 towards a ticket home. You however, have to waive your free travel warrants within the UK. Summer leave is 3 weeks and starts last week in july.

I've been with holding troop for a couple of months now and to be honest, it's the best thing to do. You go through a lot of phys sessions and it gives you a good idea of what to expect when you start RT. we've even had a couple of lectures on life in the marines. My advice, join a holding troop if ...

Have you guys considered RMR Holding troop? The RMR base is in Bermondsey, just down the road from you guys. Maybe you should make it there one wednesday night. You'll go through a typical phys session with a PTI, and that would give you a very good idea what to expect during RTand how much work you ...

push up bar

same here. I bought a package of chin up, sit up and push up bars from argos for 20 quid. The chin up bar goes between your door frame and sit up bar goes underneath the door. Very good stuff but the push up bar is absolutely useless. I use my palms and sometimes do closed fist push ups.

Seeing as the other members of the team have done this kind of thing before why not ask them for advice on training? Sounds like a fun thing to do though, wouldn't mind an edventure like that myself. All the best and hope you have a blast.

I did my PJFT in August and had my prmc end of October. Don't know if it took so long for everyone else. The whole process does take some time though. I only got my RT date this morning.

Was supposed to go down 5th of February but I'm still here. Trying to sort out a few issues. Hopefully everything should be done in the next week or 2.

I doubt they'll use the same photo for the id cards. I had a tache and goatee in mine, I don't know how happy they'll be about using that. That's the only thing i'm not looking forward to, losing my goatee. small price to pay.
