a base plat aint heavy either ffs, but when you are tabbing all over the place with the f@#k they do tend to get a bit heavy, and 200 link ffs, sorry mate but i used to carry a bit more than that when we were live firing, rarther have it with me than without. and the "lid" ? why do they put them ...

did a ten miler once when i was in mortars, ? every other t##t in the battalion did a ten miler meaning tabbing 10 miles with a bergan weighing 45 pounds pounds, ? our 10 miler ended up being 17, with bergans of 50 pounds, then someone said we may as well get the mortar kit as well, one of the snco ...

had a mate in 3 para was ex 2nd rep, he had photos of their tranasium type course, it was over water and they had harnesses on, ? greenronnie you might know him, think he ended up a cssm,2 para was ex 3 para ptls, was a good bloke.

greenronnie, what was the pathfinders role ? were you tasked as an additional rifle platoon, or were you doing your own thing, sun bathing etc, who did you answer to ? or were you independent . also whats the posibility of viewing the vid that you made, im ex 3 para mortars for my sins.
