The pay is pants! I wouldnt recommend jioning at 31, purely for the fact that you could end up waiting 3/4 years before seeing a killicks rate and at your age Im sure you wouldn't appreciate, nor need a spotty irk telling you what to do.

I know of people who have transferred with house/kids/wifes ...

Westlands in Janner land, started already unfortunately. No need for medical discharge, as Ive got my notice in they won't let me, means they'd actually have to pay me more money!

Thanks for the link, any of you guys with dive gear or paintball sites will probably know of HPac anyway.

Hey Harry,

Not sure yet, when they do finally let me out (March 16th if not earlier) I'll either be working for my dad (check out Hpac.co.uk or MVilchester.co.uk) or might try and find work as an unlicensed rotary mechanic. Been offered a 2nd year apprenticeship with Westlands but the Mob wont let ...

Hey Jonno,

You might want to try some of the Field Gun organisations that are still going as they might have access to copies. I know a group in Pompey is recreating the original Field Gun competition although I'm not sure of their name; they were at T200, might be worth doing a search on them ...

As for GCSE's, the Navy has an Education Centre on each base which allows you to study for GCSE's in Maths, English etc. and also runs NAMET classes for those wanted to ...

Hmm Santa has been, but silly family tradition (and the fact no-one went to bed until 4am) means no pressies until after brunch. Boo. Wish I was five again, so much easier!

No press ups as of yet though.

Why when I pack my Bergen; with everything recommended by the helpful Bootneck instructors, does it resemble a small house??

No matter how much kit I ditch it's still bloody heavy, now unless someone has hidden some rocks (or bottle jacks, cheers guys, you know who you are....) I'm baffled.
