If you join you will have the Rank of Marine after training, if you finish training successfully you can still decide to opt for Officer training later on after you'v had a few adventures as a Marine!

you need to be out running on the streets treadmills are okay but they don't accuratly replicate real running, you need to be doing 1.5miles under 10min 30 sec, as a min standard, also get working on overarm pull-ups, if you are successful in getting in they will rapidly improve your fitness ...
