The man is correct. no contact lenses for 7 days before test.
Was told i have to bring the specs i get as a back up to the contacts.

My recruiter was recommending the contacts for Army life, and not for the eye test as i thought.

That's news to me. The whole reason i went for contacts was because my recruiter advised me to get them over glasses.

Guess i'll be giving him a call in the morning then.

As far as i know its the same as the rest of the infantry.

I went to spec savers for an eye test the other week and they had all the army requirements there to hand.

Turns out my right eye would not be up to scratch and i am now getting contacts before my selection.

Worth a look for £20 mate.

Carry on with your usual training up to a couple of days before you go.
Just dont over do it, be git to get an injury the day before you go
too much of a good thing and all that mate.

other than that just give it 100% when you are there and i'm sure all will go your way.

I'm currently in the process of re-enlisting for the parachute regiment,
back in 2000 when i was 17 i had a brief spell in depot till my shins decided enough was enough :cry:

was told then to come back in a couple of years ...
