I was just wondering how many people get through SAS selection. I read something somewhere a couple of days ago saying the SAS are having a recruiting problem. Also just wondering how many Royal Marines usually go in for SAS or do they always opt for SBS?

I was just reading an article about the SAS and learned that whoever tries out for selection is only given two chances to pass.
I was wondering. Should you fail on both those occasions, are you forever barred from trying again? Or can you try out again 1 - 2 years (or more) later?

Also does anyone know how many Pathfinders go into the SAS I reckoned a lot due to their selection is similar but a lot shorter cheers to anyone who replies :D

Yeah, mega series, very well researched and produced. I read the book quite a while before the series came out and it was good to see that the programme was very accurate. It is one of the only war series/films that I can sit through without DS'ing it!
