thanks for the info, cheers. The money isnt at all one of the reasons I am joining but its good to know that you are supported in those circumstances.

Thanks for the reply. I phoned TA centre yesterday and because of the grounds I was PMU on, they are going to appeal against it for me so that I can join. :D

Hi. I was made PMU (Permanently Medically Unfit) whilst joining the RAF in November 2008. Would this make me unable to apply for the TA now?

Please stop. The RAF Regiment are great at what they do, but don't try and make them out to be something that they are not.

hi where did you hear that TG course goes up to 32 weeks?? its on none of the RAF sites or any forum could you tell me where you came across this information?

When you did your AST's did you have the presentation after? If so, what does it entail? Are they looking for those that ask questions, or are you ok just sat listening? Because to be honest I have no questions to ask, I'm happy with everything already and any questions I did have were answered on ...

Pay doesn't really bother me about the regiment, nor will it.

Personally, I'd save money up before going in if you can, or at least be debt free, it is hard for some people starting off on the basic salary, although you may not think so.

Yeah, I might struggle a bit, my current wage is £26000 ...

Pay during basic training

How do you get paid during basic training? Is it the same as in the Army? where they give you a sum as cash in hand for the first few weeks? And is it monthly or weekly?
