If I rememeber correctly what the careers officer told me, you come out with between £162 and £169 per week whilst you are training and then it goes up accordingly.

Thanks for the insight tucker, I've got my PGAC on the 7th April. What did the medical consist of? Because I had one at the careers office but it was only very basic.

Not really mate...if you're already thinking of coming out before you have even started then the Regiment probably won't be for you... I'm sure if someone really can't hack the Regiment life, then there will be a way out.

I'm in the same boat as you mate but my PGAC is on the 21st of April...my swimming isn't too hot either.... I read a leaflet I got from the careers office and it says" IF YOU CAN'T SWIM DONT WORRY, WE WILL TEACH YOU" but then you have to do a swimming assement to get in so how do they plan on ...

What I meant was do you just apply? Or do you have to get nominated?

And how do you go about it all if you are a regimental Gunner?

How to be a sniper

Hi all,
I've got my PGAC on the 21st of April and i was wondering how you get to specialise in being a sniper once you have started your career in the RAF.
Any help or advice would be brill.

I've got my PGAC on the 21st of April, and I'm bricking it from what I've heard so far.

I go running everyday and I go boxing training 3 times a week but I still feel like I'm not fit enough..... think I need to up my game.
