Not sure on that one, but they do have a better colour perception in that they can see different shades of green a lot more clearly than a normal-sighted person. So they can tell the difference between red and green - one is simply more green than the other :)

I didn't think colour blindness was a bar to the majority of careers. If anything I would have thought colourblindness would be a desirable trait in an infantryman...green camouflage doesn't fool them?

No he hasn't, but he has spent his entire adult life in the medical profession and is an expert specialist in epilepsy.
