I very strongly doubt all of these reported times by various trainees on the various Forces websites. To be blunt, many people are downright liars. 1.5 miles in 10 minutes = a very accomplished athlete. It's the same when I was at school doing GCSEs and A-levels - everyone bragging and looking conf...

Hehe, OK, seeing as you asked so nicely I've resized it into 2 different resolutions, 1024x768px, and 1280x1024px along with some other photo's too. :) Enjoy. 1280x1024 http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/3797/21280x1024rz7.jpg 1024x768 http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8897/21024x768xa8.jpg 1280x10...

10 minute miles with 45lbs is still faster than the fastest, flattest SPEED marches. You are either: a)A very desperate individual seeking recognition from anonymous names on a website b)Ridiculously naturally fit - and will breeze selection. c)A bloke who has trained very hard, reached your peak a...

CptStabbo, no that's correct. I did the exact same route again today with same weight, re-checked bergen weight and distance(checked distance with map, gps, and pedometer) and they are correct. Today I was a little slower coming in at 1hr 20mins 38secs. The route is in the hills, but it's probably t...

I don't know if this is allowed, but I think this makes quite a nice desktop background. It's an actual photo taken in Iraq from which I have around 400mb of photos from Op Telic. As far as I know all of the photos I have do not violate OpSec/PerSec. Mods, if this isn't acceptable please feel free t...

Joe_Cocker, I never said 8 min mile with 45lb, I said 8 min with 25lb. The weight and route are exactly right, I've checked numerous times. As for running with weight, I have been training for around 9mths now, in the hills, and in the gym to allow sufficient time for my legs to build up which allow...

Hehehe, I actually tried creatine, it made me physically sick. I think the problem was the fact I train alone most of the time, but recently I've started to train with a friend(Serving Para) which has added some 'healthy' competition. I push myself much much harder now which I obviously wasn't doing...

Just wondering if any other guys are training for selection, if so what times etc are you getting. I.E: 1.5 miles 10 miles Press-Ups Sit-Ups My current timings are as follows: 1.5 miles (With 25lb bergen, and a no time 1 mile warm up) = 8 mins flat 8 miles (With 45lb bergen) = 1 hr 19 mins Press-Ups...
