There are a few guys on the current cadre who are trained soldiers, most of them are expected to come on all of the weekends, as well as CIC/P Coy. Unless you've already done P Coy or equivalent then I expect you'll have to do the whole lot, although they'll be less strict on making you turn up to ...

Again, i'm only going from my experience but there were a couple of guys on my cadre, one who was in 2 Para but left 5+ years previously and one who was in a very well respected TA regiment, neither had to do the training cadre. They just had to do a 10 miler to show they had kept up their fitness ...

I hope they put back P Coy by a few weeks, otherwise it'll be right in the middle of my exams.

Is there any point in me going on this training cadre even though I probably won't be able to do P Coy at the end?
