Like both Mitch and tartan have already said, wear a suit and look tidy, and read up on RAF history, RAF Regiment History and current roles and deployments, reading and paying attention to all force related story’s in the press also helps.

Nicely said and thanks for the replies, Hearing about death and fighting everyday would of course be depressing but surely that is the result of being in an area of conflict, supporting our troops is something I wish more people have in their morals.

There’s no online careers chat like the Army site, There is a Live web chat with a serving member once a month however. And a Phone number you can ring with any questions open from 9-5 weekdays I think if thats any help.

Indeed it does, but was the best I could find on the topic.
So I thought I’d fire it up here anyway for you. It gives you an idea of the sort of sports on offer. I wouldn’t let the lack of weightlifting clubs put you off.

I think the number of sports the RAF and Army offer are a similar number, Below is a quote from the Royal Air Force official site for you.

Are you sure he wasn’t RM
The only green berets in the Army I can think off is the Royal Green Jackets, Royal Irish, Int Corp and I think Adjutant General's Corps.
