Hey all,Just wondering if anyone would share their opinions on what life at Catterick is like as i am applying for the CIC 24 week infantry course so thats a fair amount of time to spend there,whats the atmosphere like between everyone? sleeping arrangements or how is that done? etc, or anything ...

yeah i know what u mean im 6ft1 about 88kgs i wouldnt class myself as anywhere near overweight or anything but i got some fat that i need to get rid of,and it does effect pressups and that which i reckon is best to get rid of before u even start thinking of basic right even if u can meet the times?

hehe yeah i guess,Catterick sounds like a alright place though,I mean i know its gonna be really hard and that but you will make some good friends and the pride of finishing the whole thing is enough motivation for me to stick with it despite the 24/7 beastings im expecting lol :o ,

thanks for that,nah i dont have a self confidence issue or anything i think what it is really is i have never actually been in a situation where ive needed to be naked with groups of other men (not meant to sound strange) so i actually most probably wont have a problem as everyone will be in the ...

ah yeh good point,do they still test u by pressups and sits or is it the machine strength testing now?

I am 19 years old 6ft 1 88kg with a BMI of 25.84,What BMI would you recomend before taking the RCS test the 1.5 mile and the press ups etc? Bearing in mind im applying for the CIC light infantry or is this sufficient?

I got a call from the guy at my local recruitment office in ilford london saying to come down and watch a presentation then do a few tests etc,anyone know what these are?

You just do it. Its not as hard as you think.
