Yeh, I would of thought Canada would be much worse place to train that England. Good luck with your PRMC, and hope you get into training. Theres quite a few Canadians in the corps, there was onc in my troop, can't remember his name, it's been a year and half now. But good luck anyway

Along as your doing 3 miles in 20 minutes you'll be fine. You don't have to super fit to join the marines, just an average level of fitness and the determination to succed. I've never been a good runner and i'm sure most people aren't, but doesn't mean you have to run all the time and get your 3 ...

I always got lumberd with the big geezer. I left after around 11 weeks, so I never got to the bottom field. I'm looking forward to challenge this time round.

PRMC you'll do lots of sprinting, as the others have said already. But also in training you'll do lots of sprinting, even more yes :( so i'd get practicing. If anything do sprints when ever you can, as you do more sprinting in training and than running, thats what i found anyway (maybe its because i ...

As far as I know theres no videos about training in the royal marines or about even about the royal marines. Best bet is to just ask if you can watch some down your AFCO, as they'll b more that happy to have you sit in there offices and watch the vids.

When in training I had quite a few colds and one really bad flu. The DVD is more a fitness instruction DVD than anything else. Most of what it says is exactly what you can get from your AFCO. Really don't worry about your coming PRMC, yes it is hard, but more mentally. If you got a good level of fitness then you should pass. If you really want to buy this DVD get ...

Speed marching doesn't really seem worth it, training is progressive and you'll soon be able to speed march with the best of them. Although learning your navigation will help, you could get used to carrying heavy loads too and do practice your navigation at the same time. I found navigation really ...

Yeh it's probably best just go with the information your AFCO give you. Also talking to current and past marines and any people from other services will help. And also this forum seems a wealth of information.

Not really, no ones died yet. They are trying to get a lifeguard, but for when children sessions are going on. The rest of the time theres camera, and theres staff who are lifeguard trained about the pool pretty much 95% of the time. I've never been worried, but then i'm a good swimmer, but I can ...

I passed week 8 and left at week 11 from Hunter Company. Don't ask why I left, even i'm still a bit confused about why I left. Think it just all got a bit much, worst decision I ever made leaving training.

Yes most pools will not allow clothes let alone webbing. But quite a lot of pools now have scuba diving sessions and more in them. Swimming in clothes and webbing if no diffrent. Just as the gym staff and you'll find out. But also a lot of gym pools don't even have lifeguards ...
