hi lads

Stuart urban e-mailed me the info today (im a new member to the MF) and i must say i think we all owe him a great deal for his help in what started out a question about getting one copy of the film!!

as a rubber dagger in training, i must say that we are on a par with the regulars, training is longer a lot is done in your own time, thats the easy bit.

you have to stay commited and just keep going. remember you are going to be treated like a recruit for about a year possible more. i attended my ...

ask any sgt who has had to go and work as a PSI at one of the RMR units what he thought about the reserves before compared to what they did after there 'sentancing' .

all rmr ranks are either ex regular Bootneck, or have completed the commando course (the same one the regulars do in the same time ...

you obviously are happy beeing a civvie, but you would like to have a go at being a member of one of britains elite fighting forces... why not give it a go as i have in the Royal marines reserves.

it takes over a year to be able to attempt the commando course that means spending a year ...

Bootnecks who join the sas do so due to the fact that they are not to fond of water. then (according to duncan Falcorner in First [i]in to action[/i]) once the join the SAS they end up in a boat troop due to there past experiance in boats.

speed marching

Im a royal Reservist, and have to train for speed marches in my own time. what i have now managed to achive is to run 9 and 1/2 miles in the time it takes to do a normal nine miler. i run in trainers with a back pack weighing around 30lbs.

however i would not advice this to anyone who is about to ...

Royal Can put himself forward for parachutist trainning, its up to the individual i belive, its the same as if a bootneck wants to join SAS. however i also belive that it is easier for a royal marines resevist to get on a parachuting than it is for his regular counter-part
